Defending PhD thesis 1st of June Wouter de Zanger

On Friday 1 June, Ucall researcher Wouter de Zanger will defend his PhD thesis on the Dutch confiscation measure. One of the conclusions of this research is that the practical application of this measure is, on several points, at odds with the objectives thereof. Stefan Kulk writes article in Dutch newspaper about regulating the internet

In an aticle of the NRC that appeared last weekend in print, Ucall’er Stefan Kulk wrote about the urge of govenrments to regulate the internet. This urge is caused by all the trouble on the internet: from revenge pron to the promotion of terrorism and to hate speech. The problem is being tackled on a national level. According to Stefan Kulk this only leads to the hindering of innovation and which in the end obstructs the rise of a new internetgiant.
